I studied Biotechnology and Biotechnology of Peptides and Proteins at the University of Wroclaw, Poland (2009-2014). During my studies I spent 8 months as an intern at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Plant Physiology in Potsdam, Germany. After my graduation I started my PhD dissertation on the role of reactive oxygen species during leaf growth at RWTH Aachen University (Germany) and obtained my PhD degree in 2019. Since then I’ve joined the PlantLab as a postdoctoral researcher to work on hypoxia stress signaling.

My research focuses on deciphering the molecular mechanisms integrating hypoxia signaling with sugar availability, using Arabidopsis thaliana as a model organism. I am interested in the fine-tuning of ERF-VII activity by post-translational modification. My research activities rely on molecular biology, protein-protein interaction techniques and confocal microscopy.
